Each household is a light, airy and homely place to live, with facilities including a central domestic-style kitchen, dining and lounge areas, and large patio doors opening onto a secure outside space.
All residents have their own rooms or 'suites' leading off from the communal part of the household, each with a domestic-style front door to create the feeling of a small street. There are no corridors and it is easy to find your way around.
Residents are encouraged to lead their own lives, with choice, independence and their own routine. They are able to retain existing skills and abilities, as well as contribute to everyday tasks and the general running of the household.
Our households also incorporate the latest 'smart room technology' in dementia care to assist our staff in providing support and care. The open-plan nature of the communal areas ensures our support workers are able to offer assistance in an unobtrusive way.
