Belong Crewe enjoyed an injection of glitz and glamour when Havana Nights dance act visited to run an afternoon of 'Strictly Come Dancing' themed activities recently.
Lively customers of Belong Crewe were taught Latin American, Tango and Salsa dances and everybody got into the Latin spirit, recreating dances from the hit TV show. With colourful costumes, dazzling dance moves and more than a little laughter, residents, their relatives and staff at the village learned a range of routines that got everybody moving on the dancefloor.
Doreen Barnet, who lives in Patriot House, Belong Crewe, said: "What a fantastic afternoon it was. We've had tea dances in the village before, but nothing as flamboyant as this. Things were really heating up towards the end. I can't wait to do it again."

The Latin dancing event was so well received that a number of Caribbean-themed events are now planned for the summer, part of a series of village activities inspired by Ladder to the Moon training for Belong staff members. Ladder to the Moon seminars are designed are to enable care providers to develop more active, creative and vibrant care services.
Earlier in the morning at Belong Crewe a coffee morning was held to celebrate the lives of the people living there. The coffee morning included a 'Guess the Baby' competition, where everybody compared photos from their childhoods and tried to guess which babies had grown into which adults.
Melanie Saywell, General Manager for Belong Crewe, said: "We provide a range of activities all year round, and are constantly striving to expand the type of activities that we can offer, both to the people that live here and visitors to the village. The dance was really well attended, everybody got into the spirit of things and it was definitely a day to remember."
