Natalie Ravenscroft, 33, has been appointed experience coordinator at Belong Crewe with responsibility for the development and implementation of a programme of activities suitable for customers of varying ages and abilities within the village and the wider local community.
Coming from a family of care workers, Natalie was previously a regional activity executive with a north west based care home group and prior to that gained four years’ experience in dementia care in a family run care facility in Rhyl, North Wales. She has also worked in an unrelated field, as a transport manager in the freight industry.
Born in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, Natalie now resides in Whitchurch, Shropshire with her husband and two children. She views the role at Belong Crewe, rated ‘outstanding’ in a recent Care Quality Commission report, as her “dream job” and takes up the post with immediate effect. She is a member of the National Activities Providers Association (NAPA), a ‘dementia friend’ and a ‘dignity champion’. She is also a former member of the judging panel for the North West Care Awards; having officiated in the regional awards in 2016.
Commenting on her new post, Natalie said: “ In my late 20s I realised that the type of care support I wanted to experience was in the field of dementia care, particularly focused on the development of activities to improve the social wellbeing of those living with the condition, so the job within one of the standard bearers in the field of dementia care is a dream come true.” To speak to Natalie and find out more about our experience day service, please contact the village on 01270 561200.
