How Wigan’s Chief Executive hit the heights at our new village!

Shortly after Joyce Redfearm, the Chief Executive of Wigan Borough Council, said she would be delighted to put the last roof tile in place for our exciting new village for older people in the town she realised – she doesn’t like heights!
In fact, the intrepid local authority leader thoroughly enjoyed herself on the day, joining a group of others on a large hydraulic platform to mark the end of the building work at a ceremony 35 ft. above the ground.
