Belong is to build a £10 million ground-breaking community village for older people in Loushers Lane, Warrington.

Belong Warrington, which is planned to open in 2014, will have six family-sized ‘households’ each able to accommodate 12 older people and provide specialist residential, dementia and nursing care.

It will also include 18 self-contained apartments and a range of facilities including a bistro, hair-and-beauty salon and function room which will be used to screen films, hold dances and stage village events.

The village, on part of the former G & J Greenalls distillery site, has been designed to meet the needs of older people.
