The Belong at Home domiciliary service delivers bespoke packages of care and support, whether in a customer’s home within the community or within one of our village apartments.
Many of the individuals we support will be living with a dementia and may also have profound physical disabilities. Although you will be supporting people to retain or regain as much independence as possible, in practice you will need to be able to provide day to day support with intimate personal care such as bathing, toileting and dressing as well as domestic support with shopping, cooking and cleaning. Social and recreational needs are also a large part of the role which may involve accompanying the customer on a trip to the theatre, a special place of worship or interest, or visiting friends and family.
There will be no such thing as a typical day for the community support worker who is willing to go that ‘extra mile’. As well as being a truly caring person, you will need to be friendly and enthusiastic, prepared to experiment and find different ways of doing things and always act as a professional.
This is truly a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the development of a unique, innovative service to the community, so if you have a passion to care and always place the customer at the heart of everything you do, we’d like to hear from you.
Belong has excellent learning and development opportunities in place to help you do so, plus a range of attractive benefits.
