Warrington’s Deputy Mayor, Councillor Karen Mundy was amongst those centre stage to help celebrate National Care Home Open Day on Saturday 21st April, as Belong Warrington opened its doors to the public.
Members of the local community were invited to Belong between 9am and 4pm to get a sense of the services and support available in the care village, meet the team of expert staff and chat with residents. In addition to the Deputy Mayor’s planned visit, activities for the day include morning tours of the village, a special afternoon tea in The Bistro to celebrate the Queen’s birthday, and live music from swing singer, David Bushell.
Kerith Pepperdine, experience coordinator for Belong Warrington, said: ‘We were very excited to be taking part in National Care Home Open Day, as it is a wonderful opportunity to connect members of the community with their local care village, while also celebrating the brilliant individuals that make up both the customers and staff."
