Belong shortlisted in Investors in People Awards 2018

Belong has been shortlisted in the Investors in People Awards 2018. The not-for-profit organisation joins the shortlist as a result of its successful recruitment, training and development practices, which have seen staff praised in Care Quality Commission inspection reports, and all its villages and home care services rated as either outstanding or good by the CQC inspectors.

Belong has been shortlisted in the Excellence in the Third Sector category, which is open to organisations of 500+ employees. Nominees in this category must demonstrate that they are forward thinking, committed to best practice and striving to improve continually. And in the case of Belong, the care provider has been recognised for its investment in class-leading development programmes, incorporating road shows and specialist dementia training for the entire workforce.

News of the shortlist has been welcomed by Belong Chief Executive, Tracey Stakes. She commented: “Providing development opportunities for our people is part of our culture, ethos and commitment to high quality care; therefore it is gratifying for our work in this area to be recognised in this way.

“The investment in our people is one of the most important we can make, and for that to be acknowledged by the UK organisation acting as the standard bearer for people management, suggests that our investment is well-placed.”

Belong is also a finalist in three categories at the prestigious 3rd Sector Care Awards, which take place on 7th December. The village operator has been shortlisted for Community Engagement, Innovative Quality Outcomes and the Leading Change Adding Value Award for Compassion.

The Investors in People Awards will be presented on the 28th November at London venue, The Roundhouse.
