The Bistro

The Bistro at Belong Crewe is a dementia-friendly café where residents can meet with family and friends and enjoy tasty meals, which are freshly prepared on site using seasonal produce. A range of speciality coffees and teas are available throughout the day.

All team members receive dementia training and a comprehensive induction, ensuring colleagues have a good understanding of the challenges faced by older people and that the bistro is a safe space where everyone is treated with understanding and respect.

Promoting Choice

The Bistro also offers an alternative dining experience for 24-hour care residents, who can choose whether to dine in their household, their private suite or pop along to the Bistro for a change of scene.

Special diets are catered for, including fortified diets and texture-modified meals for those with swallowing difficulties. We support people to make healthy choices and to enjoy a varied diet. Residents are always able to request an alternative to the daily menu.

Open to the public

Members of the wider community are welcome to dine in The Bistro and many do indeed choose to do so.

We are open seven days a week, from 8am – 5pm, serving breakfasts and hot meals until 3pm, including daily specials as well as our fixed menu. We serve fish and chips on Fridays, a roast dinner for Sunday lunch and homemade cakes daily.

Special Events

The Bistro is the heart of the village, often providing a setting for special seasonal celebrations or themed nights.

It offers a place where residents can meet with friends from other households or apartments and enjoy fine food in a social atmosphere.
