Belong has appointed Caroline Ray as the new General Manager at the community village, Belong Macclesfield, as her predecessor, Janine Curwell, takes the helm at Belong Warrington to prepare for the opening of the new village next summer.
Caroline moves from her previous role as Support Manager at Belong Crewe, a post she had held since the village opened in 2010.
Tracy Paine, Operations Director at Belong, said: “Caroline has shown unwavering commitment to Belong values and putting the customer first, particularly in leading the teams to provide outstanding dementia care, and promote independence and choice for all Belong customers.”
Caroline is qualified as a nurse as well as holding extensive social care qualifications, and the NVQ level 5 in management.
The appointment has been accompanied by a number of other promotions at Macclesfield. Helen Palin takes on the role of Support Manager (previously Practice Development Facilitator), while Karen Barber becomes Practice Development Facilitator (previously Lead Nurse). They will both work alongside Caroline as part of the Senior Management Team.
Tracy adds: “These promotions will help ensure continuity for customers and the wider staff teams, and are a sign of the success of our people training and development programmes. We are always keen to nurture the talents and skills of our staff as we believe this approach brings the best results for those living in the villages and accessing their facilities.”
