Michelle Jones collects trophy at Great British Care Awards

Michelle Jones, Practice Development Facilitator at Belong Warrington, has won the Frontline Leaders award at the prestigious national Great British Care Awards 2015, following on from her success at the regional Great North West Care Awards last year. Michelle, who was nominated for her role in coaching members of staff and overseeing their professional development to secure the best outcome for everybody supported by Belong, is known by hundreds of colleagues across the North West as an inspirational leader.
Michelle played a key role in establishing the staff team at the recently opened Belong Warrington. She was presented with the Frontline Leaders award by entertainer Steve Walls, in a lavish ceremony at The ICC in Birmingham.
Judges at the Great British Care awards said: "Michelle is a natural leader who has demonstrated her ability to understand styles without perhaps being aware. She looks at each person in her team and individual needs and provides the appropriate leadership style."
Speaking of her success, Michelle said: "I'm thrilled to win this award and it's touching to have my hard work acknowledged in this way. I work with some incredibly talented people at all five Belong villages across the North West and am proud to support them and the high standard of care that they offer to our customers."
Tracy Paine, Operations Director at Belong, said of the win: "Michelle has made a phenomenal contribution to mentoring and coaching Belong staff, helping them to provide high quality care. More recently she has worked tirelessly to develop a strong workforce at Belong Warrington and we are delighted to see her outstanding qualities win national recognition."
The Great British Care Awards, which are supported by the Department of Health, exist to celebrate excellence across the care sector, paying tribute to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
