Belong Morris Feinmann has been honoured with a visit from Ephraim Mirvis, Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, to commemorate the opening of the new village.

On a specially organised tour of the village, Rabbi Mirvis was greeted by over 100 guests, before being shown around the village’s Synagogue, gym, bistro and hair salon. The UK’s most senior Rabbi met with residents, staff members and trustees of the Feinmann Trust.

Addressing the guests during his visit, Rabbi Mirvis said: “I am delighted to be able to visit Belong Morris Feinmann to witness the highest standards of care available to the Jewish community in south Manchester. The facilities are second to none, and the sense of community is enhanced by the incredibly caring and dedicated staff at the village. I can now see why this is considered one of the finest care facilities in the country for anyone, irrespective of race or religion.”

Ian Paul, Chairman of the Feinmann Trust, said: “We are honoured to welcome Rabbi Mirvis to Belong Morris Feinmann. It’s wonderful to see the community come together and the village thriving so soon after opening. It’s testament to the strong relationship between the Feinmann Trust and Belong.”
