Belong Morris Feinmann celebrates first anniversary!

Belong Morris Feinmann has celebrated its first anniversary as a key part of Manchester’s Jewish community. It did so in style, with a party open to members of the public.
The village, which caters for members of Manchester’s Jewish population, hosted a celebration party with live entertainment by music group Roundhay, and had two birthday cakes donated by the village’s Kosher supplier, Brackmans Bakery.
Belong Morris Feinmann is the sixth development from Belong, which prides itself on world-leading dementia care. It was developed on behalf of the Feinmann Trust, established in 1947 originally to provide a home to Jewish refugees during the Second World War and evolving over the years, primarily to support older people from the Jewish community.
The village comprises six households, each catering for 12 people in their own en-suite facilities, opening onto a private lounge, dining room and kosher kitchen. The village also includes 13 one and two-bedroomed independent living apartments for rent or purchase, and a hub of facilities including a kosher bistro, synagogue, exercise studio and library.
Belong Morris Feinmann’s experience coordinator, Angela Luckett, said: “It was an absolutely splendid day. The party was so well attended by our residents and tenants, and many of our local neighbours dropped in as well. It was very special to come together as a community and raise a glass to our achievements, which includes establishing the village as a class-leading dementia care centre.”
