Synagogue

As well as our Venue entertainment suite, our village centre features a synagogue where Shabbat services are held on Saturday, usually monthly. We also celebrate the weekly Friday Shabbat prayers in our Bistro and a number of rabbis visit the village to host coffee mornings throughout the week.

Holocaust Exhibition

Within the synagogue, we have a specially curated exhibition dedicated to our customers who fled Germany during the Second World War, escaping the Holocaust. This initiative was supported by The Feinmann Trust, who work with Belong to provide input on Jewish cultural and religious traditions, and who also published a bespoke Siddur (prayer book) for our customers, with input from Belong Morris Feinmann chaplain, Rabbi Perez, and community volunteers. The publication is a slimmed down large print version, making it easier for residents to follow and take part in services.
