Catherine Haycock, support manager at Belong Morris Feinmann in Didsbury catering for Manchester’s Jewish population, is one of only ten care industry professionals to be selected for The National Care Forum’s ‘Rising Stars’ programme.
Hosted by the UK’s leading association of care industry professionals, the annual Rising Stars programme recognises new care sector managers who have shown leadership and a commitment to improving services through innovation and new initiatives.
The scheme gives participants a chance to develop their skills and knowledge through a series of workshops and seminars about key policy developments, best practice and the challenges facing strategic thinkers within the sector. Each candidate is also assigned a mentor to focus on personal development goals.
Commenting on finding out she’d been selected for the programme, Catherine said: “I was absolutely delighted! I’m really looking forward to the chance to develop links with other care industry professionals, build on my skills and knowledge and apply what I learn at Belong Morris Feinmann. It should be really helpful in my future career.”
Deborah Baker, general manager at Belong Morris Feinmann, said: “Catherine’s outstanding commitment to her role, her inclusive and supportive leadership style and the innovative approaches she brings to improving operations at the village made her an obvious candidate for the Rising Stars programme.”
